Two popular ingredients that you’ve probably heard a lot about lately are Argan oil and Monoi de Tahiti. Argan oil comes exclusively from southwest Morocco, where there are about 21 million trees, and Monoi de Tahiti, as I’m sure you guessed, was invented in Tahiti. The benefits of these natural ingredients can be discovered below:
Argan oil: Berber women collect ripe argan fruit (which resemble olives), dry them, then crack them to extract the oil laden seeds. Argan oil is great for skin care because it contains high levels of essential fatty acids, including linoleic acid (helps counteract loss of elasticity & ward off wrinkles), gamma tocopherol (vitamin E), and triterpenic alcohols (anti-inflammatory properties). It is also fabulous for hair care providing the benefits of shine, softness and frizz control.
Monoi de Tahiti: A coconut oil blend with vitamin E that is scented by soaking gardenia flowers, this literally translates to “scented oil” in Tahitian.
Monoi de Tahiti helps skin become more moisturized, firmed and toned and repairs and conditions dry hair.
